The Grangers Wash + Repel Down 2 in 1 Care Kit 300 ml is a complete maintenance set for washable garments and equipment containing natural or synthetic down insulation. The kit contains a 300 ml bottle of Wash + Repel Down 2 in 1 and three reusable dryer balls. It allows down-filled clothing to be cleaned and reproofed in a single wash cycle, while the dryer balls help keep the insulation separated and evenly distributed during drying.

Down provides effective insulation by trapping warm air between its delicate clusters. Dirt, perspiration and moisture can cause the filling to stick together, reducing both loft and thermal performance. Ordinary household detergents may also leave residues that interfere with breathability, water repellency and the natural structure of the insulation. The specialist Grangers formula cleans both the outer fabric and the filling without unnecessarily compromising their performance.

The 2-in-1 treatment combines powerful cleaning with durable water repellency. It removes dirt and unwanted odours while refreshing the protective finish of the outer material. Water can therefore bead and run off the surface more effectively instead of soaking quickly into the garment and reaching the insulation. At the same time, the breathable characteristics of technical fabrics are maintained so moisture vapour can escape during use.

Because cleaning and reproofing take place in one wash cycle, the Care Kit saves time, water and energy compared with separate treatments. It is suitable for natural down, synthetic down and technical garments featuring GORE-TEX® or eVent® materials. Typical applications include down jackets, insulated golf jackets, gilets and other washable down-filled clothing. Always check the individual care label before starting treatment.

The three supplied dryer balls play an important role during the drying process. As they move around the drum, they gently separate clumped insulation and help redistribute it throughout the garment. This allows the down to recover its original loft and insulating performance. The balls are reusable and can also be used during future drying cycles.

Use 50 ml for one large garment or two smaller items and pour the product directly into the washing machine’s detergent compartment. Select a complete 30 °C wash cycle or follow the temperature specified on the care label. After washing, check that the filling is distributed evenly. When tumble drying is permitted, place the three dryer balls in the drum with the garment. Check the item regularly and continue drying until the entire filling is completely dry and evenly lofted.

The formulation is PFC-free and bluesign® approved. Its bottle is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The Grangers Down Care Kit therefore provides a practical way to maintain the warmth, protection, breathability and useful life of valuable down-filled garments.

Directions for use

• Check the garment’s care label before treatment
• Shake the bottle before use
• Use 50 ml for one large garment or two smaller items
• Pour directly into the detergent compartment
• Do not add ordinary detergent or fabric softener
• Select a complete 30 °C cycle or follow the care label
• Check that the down is evenly distributed after washing
• Add all three dryer balls when tumble drying
